Secures maiden pole and Grand Prix victory in Spain, becoming first Venezuelan driver to score a Formula One win.
2011
Pushes uncompetitive Williams' FW33 into Q3 on three occasions, but races prove less fruitful, yielding just a single point from his rookie F1 season with a tenth place in Belgium.
2010
Crowned GP2 Series champion, becoming only driver to win six successive feature races in a single season. Tests for HRT and Williams F1 teams, landing a race drive with the latter for 2011.
